Thank you! Thank you again!" Gu Jingzhou's trip to Taiwan elevated Yixing purple clay culture to unprecedented heights. On the afternoon of the 29th at 2 PM, Gu Jingzhou gave a special academic lecture at the Kowloon Hall of the Zhongtai Hotel in Taipei. The audience came from all over Taiwan, from south to north. Over the course of nearly two hours of presentation, Gu Jingzhou used methods of induction and summary to promote traditional Chinese culture and explore the true essence of purple clay art, resonating with all the listeners present. During his time in Taiwan, Gu Jingzhou also made a special visit to Yingge Town (now Yingge District, New Taipei City), which has the reputation of being the "pottery capital of Taiwan." He toured local ceramic manufacturing facilities and engaged in exchanges with ceramic artists. He inscribed and carved characters on some works as mutual encouragement. Through his on-site visits to Hong Kong and Taiwan, Gu Jingzhou promoted the profundity and depth of traditional Chinese culture through face-to-face exchanges at different times, proclaiming the essence and sincerity of purple clay culture. This was Gu Jingzhou's complete release of his surging passion for the purple clay enterprise—an inner search for kindred artistic spirits. --- *"Heaven and Earth, Square and Round"* 1994, Issue 1, Total Issue 1, Page 40 [Photo caption:] Gu Jingzhou with Zeng Guizhao (then Deputy Director of the Hong Kong Museum of Tea Ware), Xu Xiutang, and Gao Haigeng
