This belongs to the bamboo-imitation category of Yixing pottery forms. The body of the teapot is a variation based on the round bamboo drum shape. Clear and harmonious, elegant and refined, the shoulder and base are also pressed with horizontal incised lines that echo the vertical incised lines on the four corners of the body. The interplay of lines and surfaces creates a sense of depth and dimension, highlighting the theme. The spout, handle, and knob are decorated with bamboo nodes and stems, arranged with density and rhythm. Bamboo leaves are affixed to the lid surface, with new shoots sprouting forth, appearing graceful and lively. This was one of the popular styles during the Republican period.
