The shoulder and base of the "Panzhong No. 1" are formed with smooth convex arc lines, full and flowing. The middle section of the body is shaped with harmonious proportions, creating an overall rhythm that is balanced and measured, elegant yet steady and composed. In early 1982, Gu Jingzhou taught classes for the Zisha Special Arts program, specifically using teapot forms such as the "Panzhong" as examples to explain the application of lines in form creation. In his view, the body form is composed of various lines combined together, and the Panzhong teapot is an exemplar of compositional design combining straight lines, small arc lines, and positive and negative arc lines.[1] --- [1] Gu Jingzhou (lecturer), Pan Chiping (compiled and recorded): *Technical Course Preparation Notes*, 1981
