The "Dianxi" teapot was a popular style during the 1950s and 1960s. Its clay color is refined without being ostentatious, elegant and transcendent in character. The body takes on a heart-like form, with smoothly flowing curved arcs that are full and well-defined, imbued with an archaic charm. The rim is decorated with a sulfur mouth line, which both facilitates the fitting of the lid and enhances the graceful beauty of the form. The triple-curved spout extends generously and gracefully, upright and well-proportioned, echoing the rounded and flowing artistic style of the teapot. The overall form of this teapot is round, full, and substantial—grand yet archaic, perfectly balanced, dignified and beautiful. It gives one a sense of seamless fluidity, as if completed in a single breath.
