This wine set was created in the 1970s to expand the market for Yixing purple clay pottery. It consists of one pot and eight cups, and was acquired by the Yixing Cultural Relics Management Committee in 1971. The wine pot takes the form of an *zhihu* (straight-spouted teapot), with a tall, slender body. The belly is decorated with lotus scroll patterns. The knob features vertical striations that echo the raised floral patterns at the base of the body. The spout and neck are connected by a figure-eight cloud pattern in the middle, which corresponds with the swirling cloud motifs at the handle. The surface decoration is elaborate yet not overwhelming, appearing bright and grand.
