This piece was created as a sample for the Canton Fair in the 1970s. Rectangular in shape, it resembles an inverted truncated pyramid. On each side are three grooves with four corners, designed to conveniently hold cigarettes. The four corners feature pine, bamboo, and plum blossom patterns carved by Tan Quanhai, lending an elegant and refined quality. The flat, stable base of the ashtray demonstrates Gu Jingzhou's exquisite craftsmanship.
