Such inscribed content not only reflects Gu Jingzhou's excellent character of repaying kindness with gratitude, but also represents an outpouring of the deep emotions etched in Gu Jingzhou's heart. Living in exile in Shanghai, Gu Jingzhou contemplated the past and worried about the future daily, yet the road ahead remained uncertain. His complex life emotions were completely integrated into the creation of his works, making it natural and logical to name it "Qu Yi." In 1992, Gu Jingzhou created another "Qu Yi Tiliang Pot."
