In the 1980s, Cai Meilin designed numerous works in Dingshan. In addition to the Zihou Yi teapot, these included various craft items, among which this purple clay dish was one. The front of this dish is decorated with auspicious patterns. In the lower right corner is a stylized monogram "ML," which should be the pinyin abbreviation of "Meilin." The reverse bears the signature "Jingzhou." The small dish is light and elegant, suitable for both appreciation and handling.
