Nowadays, the legs on both sides are often replaced with cabinet bodies to facilitate storage of crafting tools. **Tao gang**: A coarse pottery jar used to store semi-finished Yixing clay pieces. The top is covered with plastic film (previously wet cloth was used before plastic film was available) and a lid to maintain humidity inside the jar, prevent the clay body from air-drying, and facilitate continued work at a later stage. Today, plastic portable boxes are commonly used as substitutes.
