## 1959 Gu Jingzhou was appointed head of the Technical Research Institute at the Zisha Pottery Factory and deputy chief of the Technical Section, responsible for technical guidance work. He collaborated with Gao Haiguang and others on innovative glazed beer cups. He participated in the arrangement work for the Jiangsu Hall of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, designing a batch of large-scale tea sets and high-grade flower vessels. He attended the National Conference of Model Workers. ## 1960 During a period of decline in the zisha industry, he focused exclusively on product sampling design and improvement of specialized zisha tools. Over the following years, he visited museums in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou, and other cities, accumulating extensive firsthand materials on historical treasures. ## 1961 He guided students Tan Yingyun, Zhang Honghua, Cao Shengda, Zhou Kunsheng, and others in their craft studies. ## 1964 Gu Jingzhou married Xu Yibao, who was eleven years his junior. To meet the demands of foreign trade orders, Gu Jingzhou taught the techniques of making large flower pots to six individuals: Zhou Zunyan, Pan Chiping, Gu Shaopei, Xu Leping, Chen Fenlin, and Zhang Shulin.
