## 1974 The Purple Clay Research Office expanded its scale. Gu Jingyue specialized in the development of new materials and new forms. Gu Jingzhou's works "Immortal Hat Teapot" and "Jian Lan Teapot" won the National Economic Commission Quality Silver Medal. ## 1975 Created "Small Longevity Star Teapot" ## 1976 In July, participated in the investigation and research of the purple clay kiln site at Yangjiaoshan in Dingshu. ## 1978 Was awarded the professional title of "Arts and Crafts Master" Ge Taozhong, Li Huifang, and Xu Weiming were transferred to the research office to work with Gu Jingzhou. ## 1979 In August, published the article *Tibi Tea Utensils* in *People's Daily*. From August to October, the Yixing Ceramics Exhibition was held at the Palace Museum in Beijing. Han Meilin developed a strong interest in purple clay art as a result. At the end of October, Hong Kong industrialist Luo Guixiang and Ye Rongzhi visited Yixing and held a symposium with Gu Jingzhou, Jiang Rong, and others, discussing the purchase of works by master craftsmen and proposing the reproduction of famous historical pieces.
