The function of the spout is to pour water. Depending on the variety, the flow rate varies, but the water flow must be smooth and must not splash. The advantage of traditional forms is that water pours smoothly, which can be summarized as "pouring without splashing flowers." At the same time, we should note the difference between past lifestyles and today's lifestyles. In the past, teapots were for the enjoyment of literati and refined scholars, who savored tea slowly and carefully, so the spout opening was smaller and water poured more slowly. Now the audience has changed, so we should adapt to today's lifestyle—the spout opening can be made somewhat larger.
