**Qiangzi** (Ball-forming tool): A tool for making clay balls, typically made from a thin split bamboo stick. When making clay balls, it is moved at right angles against a cylindrical clay segment to form spherical clay balls. The curvature of the small bamboo tube determines the shape of the clay ball. **Bone Needle**: A thin stick inserted into the center of a clay segment when making clay balls, serving to stabilize and fix the clay in place. **Xutuo** (Convex mold): An auxiliary mold used for making convex surfaces such as pot lids. When in use, a clay sheet is placed on top of it, and the edges of the clay sheet are gently patted by hand, causing the clay to bulge upward in the center due to pressure on the edges. Generally made of plaster, wood, or purple clay material. **Mujiezi** (Wooden chicken): An oval-shaped wooden tool with flat ends on both sides. Named for its resemblance to a chicken egg, the *Yixing Pottery Records* describes it as "wood shaped like an egg, used to regulate all forms and patterns," employed for smoothing the inner rim of the mouth and the spout opening. **Dugu** (Shaping rod): A small cylindrical tool used for shaping spout holes and lid openings. The *Yixing Pottery Records* describes the dugu as having "the shape of a hairpin stock," resembling the decorative hairpins used by ancient women. Depending on its purpose, it comes in two types: flat-headed and pointed-headed, primarily made of wood or bamboo.
