when heaven, earth, and humanity are all perfectly aligned, it creates the ideal conditions for achieving another peak in the art of Yixing pottery. However, it is worth noting that: The combination of different art forms must not violate the principles of visual aesthetics. Decoration cannot conceal deficiencies in form or craftsmanship, nor can a perfect form complement inappropriate decoration. Only when elegant shape, exquisite craftsmanship, and fitting, beautiful calligraphy and painting are organically integrated can they complement each other and become a truly valuable work of art with both aesthetic and practical merit. This represents the highest realm that both calligraphers-painters and pottery artists mutually pursue. --- *(Published in* Zisha Huabao *in 1991)*
