From joining the cooperative to later working at the Zisha Pottery Factory, Gu Jingzhou consistently served as the factory's technical advisor. He successively held positions as technical instructor and head of the research institute, eventually serving concurrently as honorary director of the research institute. It can be said that Gu Jingzhou's post-1949 career consistently revolved around the word "technique," and this professional trajectory determined the nature of his work as a master craftsman mentoring apprentices and transmitting knowledge. Many ambitious young people devoted themselves to studying under "Master Gu," learning craftsmanship, personal conduct, and worldly wisdom under their master's patient guidance. Following Gu Jingzhou in their artistic studies became a new starting point in their lives. Due to work relationships, some people, even if they did not follow Gu Jingzhou for extended periods, would vividly remember occasional guidance sessions, and to this day can recount these experiences in detail as if they were treasured possessions.
