Zhu Kexin, Wang Yinchun, Wu Yungen, Feng Guilin, Chu Zhen, Wang Baogen, Li Baozhen, Jiang Rong, Gu Jingzhou, and others were trained in pottery-making and carving techniques. After 1955, through apprenticeship and teaching, as well as specialized schools, a new generation of talent emerged, including Xu Xiutang, Gao Haigeng, Xu Hansheng, Wang Yinxian, Shen Juhua, Li Chanfang, Zhou Guizhen, Xie Manlun, Jiang Yingchen, Xu Tianguan, and others. They inherited the excellent traditions of Yixing purple clay pottery art, and found it not difficult to create purple clay pottery with world-class advanced scientific and artistic standards. This not only reflects the spiritual outlook of the new era, but will also scale new heights in purple clay craftsmanship, making new contributions to the socialist Four Modernizations of the motherland. --- *(Originally published in "Yixing Cultural and Historical Materials, First Collection" (1981) and "Purple Clay Through the Seasons" (1991))*
